THE ROLE Tesla Analysis Team is hiring outstanding graduate students to join us to re-define the best products in the industry! You will work with a team of world-class engineers and get involved in core development of Tesla next generation products utilizing CAE analysis to improve strength, fatigue, and crash performance. RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop CAE models for analysis and optimization of revolutionary vehicle architectures in collaboration with a small team of multi-disciplinary engineers. • Solve engineering problems unique to Tesla’s EV architectures based on your analysis results. • Challenge established traditional CAE methods and process to improve modeling efficiency and accuracy. • Collaboratively work with test engineers to create specifications for data acquisition and virtual loads prediction. Test and analytical data must be suitable for use as load input for CAE-based Fatigue and Strength analysis. REQUIREMENTS MUST • Master’s or PhD’s degree with a focus on engineering background is preferred. Outstanding undergraduates will also be considered. • Solid engineering fundamentals and strong problem-solving skills with an interest in analytical and numerical techniques. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others on problems that are unusual or difficult. • Demonstrated ability to deconstruct complex test scenarios with good logic and analysis, root-causing and resolving correlation issues. • English speaking proficiency. PREFERRED • Credits in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) courses or experience with FEA software, such as Abaqus/Nastr
